BC Sheriffs Investigating Hit and Run - 3/19/2010

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run accident that occurred on Bevier St. near the entrance to Otsiningo Park on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at about 7:45pm.

An unknown vehicle was struck in the rear by a black BMW which then left the scene.  The Sheriff’s Office located the black BMW and the operator a short distance away.  When Sheriff’s Office personnel returned to the scene the vehicle that had been struck had also left the vicinity.

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who was involved in a motor vehicle accident at the above date and time to please call Deputy Scott Morgan at 778-1911.

GRAND ISLE, La. – An offshore petroleum platform exploded and was burning Thursday in the Gulf of Mexico about 80 miles off the Louisiana coast, west of the site where BP's undersea well spilled after a rig explosion.
