Eliminating Regents to Save Money? - 3/6/2010
New York State students may not have to take as many exams to graduate.State officials are considering cutting as many as 13 of 17 Regents exams to save costs.
The eliminated exams could include tests for Math and Social studies.
Officials say the cuts could save more than $13 million.
Teachers and school administrators are highly critical of the proposal that will be discussed Monday by the State Board of Regents.
