Truck Crashes Into Delaware Home, Kills 1 - 2/19/2010

Police say a Binghamton man crashed a tractor trailer into a home in Delaware County, killing one woman and injuring others.
 
Authorities say 61-year-old Charles Harford lost control of the trailer when he was making a sharp left hand turn.

The trailer crashed into a home and a parked car.

A load of concrete forms being hauled became dislodged and smashed into the home.

46-year-old Rhonda Hitchcock was killed.

A woman and a 5-year-old child were hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating.

GRAND ISLE, La. – An offshore petroleum platform exploded and was burning Thursday in the Gulf of Mexico about 80 miles off the Louisiana coast, west of the site where BP's undersea well spilled after a rig explosion.
