Prescription Drug Discount Cards Help People Save - 2/4/2010
For those on tight budgets, there is some good news in the tier.There are now additional benefits for uninsured and underinsured broome county residents who hold a prescription drug discount card.
With the expanded program, card holders will save on hearing aids, contacts, glasses and even lasik eye surgery.
"The card was originally mailed out at ProAct's expense to 91,000 households in the county. Since, we have made it available in various county departments, such as the health department, DSS, Workforce, the public library, and DMV's. It's also available on our website at gobroomecounty.com and at most pharmacies."--says Chris Marion
Cards are available at local pharmacies and various county departments.
