Water Floods Lost Dog Cafe - 1/14/2010

Patrons at the Lost Dog Cafe in downtown Binghamton were evacuated Thursday because the restaurant quickly became flooded with a foot of water.
 
Firefighters say shortly after 1:30 Thursday afternoon, a sprinkler system water pipe burst on the buildings fourth floor because it had frozen.

The water damaged several businesses in the building, including Hawk Engineering and some B.U. offices.

Right now Henry Street is blocked off between Water and Washington as crews continue to clean up the mess at this hour.

GRAND ISLE, La. – An offshore petroleum platform exploded and was burning Thursday in the Gulf of Mexico about 80 miles off the Louisiana coast, west of the site where BP's undersea well spilled after a rig explosion.
