Lay offs may be on the way for a Norwich grocery chain plant.
Syracuse based grocer, The Penn Traffic Company announced Friday that they have filed for bankruptcy for the third time in 15 years.
The Penn Traffic Company is the parent company of P&C Foods.
Penn Traffic says it plans on keeping its stores open under court protection while it seeks a buyer.
If a buyer is not found by February, more than four thousand employees within the companies grocery stores and warehouses will be laid off, including 66 employees at the plant in Norwich.
