County Auction Generates Over $200,000 for Local Agencies - 11/17/2009
(Binghamton, NY) The 27th Annual Broome and Tioga Counties Surplus Vehicles & Equipment Auction held at the end of September generated $229,413.71 for local agencies. Hundreds attended the auction held at the Broome County Highway Garage to bid on items such as: used vehicles, furniture, bicycles, lawn equipment, computers and more. In 2008, the auction generated $209,000 in revenue.
“Each year the auction allows agencies to recoup funds and promote reuse of equipment,” said Broome County Executive Barbara J. Fiala.
