Former Coach Charged With Having Sex With Minor - 10/8/2009
A former Susquehanna County soccer coach has been arrested for allegedly having sex with one of his female team members.
FBI agents say 49-year-old Gerald Koch of Brackney, Pennsylvania sent hundreds of sexually explicit text messages to a 16-year-old girl he coached at Blue Ridge High School in New Milford.
The girl's father, who lives in Binghamton, became aware of the relationship and contacted authorities.
Koch who works in Binghamton, was charged with enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity by crossing state lines.
A bail hearing is scheduled for Friday.
If found guilty, Koch could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
