Dick's Sporting Goods Open minimally affected by rain

On the bright side, the rain showers hit En-Joie Golf Course on Tuesday and will likely be out of the area by Thursday, according to the Champions Tour On-Site meteorologist Willis Young.  Unfortunately for the players already in town, it altered their plans to get a practice round in on Tuesday.  But, according to Course Superintendent Rocco Greco, En-Joie has never looked better. 

Greco says that Tuesday's rain gave the course a chance to soak in some water after a dry week last week, but it wasn't heavy enough to slow down the greens and fairways.  He also says thanks to Young's expertise, they were given enough warning to mow the course well before the rains hit Tuesday morning.

Young also says that if this storm should cause any flooding, it will occur down river and south of Endicott, keeping En-Joie and the Dick's Sporting Goods Open in the clear.
