Dick's Sporting Goods Open is all about charity

The Dick's Sporting Goods Open is first and foremost a golf tournament.  There are plenty of events, like the already sold out Zac Brown Band concert, that cater to the non-golf fan.  Defending tournament champion Bart Bryant says the back-to-back President's Award winning tournament is one of the coveted prizes on the tour.  But after the three days of golf and week long celebration, after the dust settles on En-Joie Golf Course, DSGO Tournament Director John Karedes says the real joy comes in December when he can write checks to various charitable organizations around Broome County.

Dick's Sporting Goods Open week begins August 11 with tournament play starting on the 15th.
