Jane Pauley Talks Baby Boomers

ENDICOTT -- An increasing number of senior citizens say they're not ready to retire into obscurity.

Former Today Show host Jane Pauley was at En-Joie today.
She offered advice to baby boomers and other older Americans.
Pauley says that professional golfer Michael Allen was good in his early days, but became much better as he approached the age of 50.  Including a second place finish yesterday at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open.

"[He was] always good enough to be there, but never quite made it.  Until now, he is 53, took some years off, he's a winner," Pauley says.  "He has never played better golf than he is playing in his 50's."

Pauley says at any age people can learn to reinvent themselves, continuing or starting new careers.  Her efforts to inspire baby boomers are contained in her award-winning series: "Your Life Calling."
