Huston eyes back-to-back DSGO's with strong Saturday

ENDICOTT -- Defending Champion John Huston holed out from 30 yards on the 16th for eagle while finishing round one Saturday morning, and that only propelled him to another low round later in the day.

Huston posted a 5-under 67 in the second round on Saturday, good enough to take a one-shot lead into Sunday's final round.

Entering this week's tournament Huston had only won one Champions Tour event, last year's Dick's Open, and had finished no better than sixth on tour this season.

Among the players chasing Huston Sunday are Brad Faxon at 11-under, qualifyer Willie Wood at 9-under and Fred Funk at 8-under par.

No matter who of the group wins the tournament, one thing is pretty apparent, they'll need another low round.  Over the past two Dick's Sporting Goods Opens the champion has shot an average of 65 on Sunday.
