FOX 40's coverage of the 2012 Dick's Open media day

ENDICOTT -- At this point last season, we were wrapping up our coverage of the 2011 Dick's Sporting Goods Open.

After the flood last September the plan has changed.

We'll all have to wait till august for the latest installment of the Champions Tour here in Endicott. Today defending champion John Huston came to town to help promote the tournament.

This year's Dick's Open field boasts one of the best field's the tournament has ever seen, and Tournament Director John Karedes says, despite the floods, securing the talent wasn't difficult.

"It was an overwhelming response that 'Listen, your community (The Southern Tier) has supported professional golf for over 40 years. You need us to come and support this event now more than ever."
