Tigers travel early to be on point for semis

The farthest distance traveled for the U-E Tigers during the regular season STAC schedule was a 1:04 drive out to Horseheads.  Now that they will be playing for a state championship, there's a little more driving involved.  Door-to-door from U-E High School to the Glens Falls Civics Center, it's a 2:54 trek.  While it's never easy to make a drive on a bus that long and play a game soon after, the Tigers planned ahead and left on Friday, well in advance of their 12:30 game on Saturday.

In addition to that, Head Coach Joe Alger says that many of the players have traveled long distances before, for other sports.  The Tigers football team recently had to travel to Rochester for the state semi-finals in football where they lost to Williamsville-North, a trend they hope to stop this season.
