Little Italy Virtual Tour
3/7/2014 (Updated 11:03:02 PM)Have you ever wanted to learn about Endicott's Italian heritage --- without leaving your house?
Now's your chance.
Binghamton University and the Little Italy Museum have created a website where you can do just that.
The website is a virtual walking tour of historic locations of Italian influence in Endicott.
You can find photographs, stories, and even videos of the sites:
" The wonderful thing about this tour is that you can go to the website and review the properties, we are adding new data everyday, new photographs, new histories to the website each day. You have a chance to look at it with your family, create a conversation, children can talk to parents and grandparents and create a dialogue of the history of the north side."
Maria Pezzuti, administrative director of the public archeology facility at BU
while the website only has seven properties for viewing right now, they plan to add more as time goes on.
And if anyone has any more info, family history, stories, artifacts, or photographs that you think could be included on the site, contact them at BU at 607-777-4786, on the website, or the Little Italy Museum at
