Troopers use AED to Save Man's Life

Recently, we told you about the AED's or Automated External Defibrillator units New York State Police now carry with them.
This week, one of those units was put to life-saving use, once again, when troopers from the Binghamton barracks responded to a call on Dimmock Hill Road in the Town of Chenango.

There they found a 23-year old man who had stopped breathing.

The AED was attached, delivered one shock, and the man regained consciousness--and was sent to Wilson Hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery.
