A Change In Rules For Snow Plow Drivers

The recent storms have brought about a rule change that will allow drivers to get more salt delivered more quickly to New York communities.

Senator Charles Schumer says the Federal Department of Transportation is temporarily easing up on restrictions that prevent truckers from driving more than eleven hours straight. Schumer says the rule suspension will allow truckers to be on the road longer, as long as they continue to follow rest break rules that require down times of at least eleven hour
