Penguin Random House set to Close in Kirkwood

Another area company closing up shops both in Kirkwood, and Pittston Pennsylvania.

Penguin Random House will begin the shut down of its distribution centers
in Kirkwood and Pittston by February of next year.

The closures will be complete by June of 2015. The company won't say how many jobs are involved and notes that employees will be offered re-assignments.

Penguin Random House says the closures are part of a repositioning of resources which will consolidate its current four distribution centers into two, which are located in Maryland, and Indiana.
