Three Arrested in Owego Drug Bust

Three men were arrested Friday in Owego following a search warrant for narcotics.

28-year-old Michael McCarty, 38-year-old William Bish, and 23-year-old James Sauer, all of Owego were arrested Thursday morning at their residence on South Depot Street.

Endicott and vestal police conducted a search and seized heroin, hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia.

Bish, Sauer, and McCarty were all charged with criminal nuisance, two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and criminal possession of hypodermic instruments.

McCarty was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

All three men were arraigned in the Village of Owego.

McCarty and Sauer are being held at the Tioga County Jail with a bail of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.

Bish is also being held at the Tioga County Jail with no bail set.
