Two Brothers Get a Surprise Room Makeover

Two brothers who face a life threatening illness were given a huge gift on Sunday.

Kalen and Kyan both live with Spinal Muscular Atropy, a genetic disease with no cure and no treatment. SMA affects mobility, and is ultimately terminal. A Room to Heal, provides a therapeutic environment for children with disabilities and illnesses. They revealed a totally  renovated bedroom for the brothers on Sunday.

"We could not have been more surprised and appreciative to see all of the work that they have gone above and beyond to do for our little guys," said Sierra Kulas, Kalen and Kyan's mother.

"They come in and they're--they're so happy and so excited. It makes such a big difference and lights up my week," said Michael Grasso, who designed the room.

The room has parallel bars that will help the boys strengthen their legs.  It has magnet boards to strengthen their arms... and other features aimed at increasing their mobility.
