Shopping Spree with Joey Sindelar

It was a once in a life-time experience for local children from the community Thursday evening.

20 kids, selected from their host boys and girls clubs, were invited to participate in "Shop with Joey Sindelar night." For the fifth year, children went on a $200 shopping spree at Dicks Sporting Goods. Sindelar spent time speaking with the children and helped them shop.

"To see the look on their faces, to feel and stand here in front of them when their engines are moving and they're looking at this store out here that has everything you can imagine," said Joey Sindelar, Champion's Tour Professional Golfer.

"To be able to touch 20 kids lives and make sure they've got warm footwear, a warm coat, gloves and some fun things, whether it's baseballs, footballs, things like that, that they're gonna be able to go out and do some healthy things as well. To be able to touch their lives and effect their lives this time of year is important to each and every one of us," said John Karedes, Tournament Director at Dicks Sporting Goods Open.

Sindelar stressed spending on a budget, and made sure children purchased the best items for the upcoming season.
