Asbestos Found in Two More Binghamton Schools

More asbestos has been found in Binghamton school buildings.

According to a letter sent home to parents on Wednesday, asbestos was found in crawl spaces at West Middle School and Woodrow Wilson Elementary School.
The letter states the asbestos isn't in areas accessible to students and faculty and that the district is following all protocols to seal off the spaces.

Meanwhile, parents at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School  received a letter Thursday that states materials from the track of a window in a classroom are being tested for asbestos.  Students have been relocated to a new classroom and the test results are expected on Friday.

As we've reported, Monday was the first day Calvin Coolidge students returned to their building after asbestos was found in crawl spaces over the summer.
