Binghamton University Kicks of the Holiday Season with Annual Performance

The radio wasn't the only place to tune into for your holiday music fix Sunday. The Osterhout Concert Theatre was also buzzing with holiday spirit.

The Binghamton University Chorus and the University Symphony Orchestra held their annual holiday show this afternoon.
More than fifty musicians preformed tunes from Bach and other composers.

The theme of this year's show was Rejoicing. Members say performing this time of the year is a very special experience.

"It's a chance for us to get
together. Not only the students but the many many community people who take part in the community chorus. It's a chance for us to share many shared values brought to us by music and a chance to play some fantastic
repertoire," said Timothy Perry, conductor of University Symphony Orchestra.

The groups perform the show every year before Thanksgiving. It was general admission and tickets were $7 at the door.
