BU Toys for Tots Donation

The Toy's for Tots in Broome County got a head start on this year's campaign Friday thanks to Binghamton University.

The University's physical facilities department presented the organization with a check for $3,700 and several toys. The funds were raised at the Annual John Mangino Golf Tournament in October. The University donates the proceeds from the tournament to Toys for Tots every year.

"It makes us feel good that we're doing something to help out. We try to do as much as we can," Sherri Hall, Library Clerk at BU, said.

"Every year they present me a check and it really helps me get things going. Helps me buy more toys and gets me started for the season every year," Sgt. Steve Ward President of Broome County
Toys for Tots, said.

Toys for Tots will begin collecting toys December 2nd. To find a drop off center visit Broometoysfortots.com. To apply for help this holiday season all that is needed is your child's birth certificate.
