BU Students Teach Children Binghamton's History

Binghamton University students held an event at The Broome County Library Saturday to teach others about the history of Binghamton.

The program called Binghamton's Past and Present informed families and visitors about the history of architecture and art in the area through games, trivia and crafts. Students say it's important for people to know the history of the area.

"It's something that kids lose throughout the years. So we show them everything that's related to how they can learn. So when they grow up they can see how everything is related around here," said Ivan Meondoza, Binghamton University Student.
The BU students also said they hoped to help the visitors be creative when it comes to art and learning about history.
