Painting with the Players

What do you get when you mix kids with some paint and a few hockey players?

It was the eighth annual paint with the players Magic Paintbrush event. Special needs children had the chance to play on the ice, and paint with the B-Sens.

The players say they look forward to spending time with the children each year.

"I think it's just important to give back. Whether they come to our game or not, these kid's need someone to look up to," said Wacey Hamilton.

The special needs students came from Johnson City, Binghamton and Vestal school districts. They each were paired up with their own player to spend the day with. Their final painting will be hung in the arena cafeteria.
