B-Sens Send Culek to Elmira

BINGHAMTON, N.Y.  The Binghamton Senators announced that forward Jakub Culek has been reassigned to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL by the clubs National Hockey League affiliate Ottawa Senators. 

Culek, 21, has played in two games this season for Binghamton registering zero points while going minus-two on the ice.  He has also played three games with Elmira this season tallying two assists and a plus-three rating.       

A native of Klatovy in the Czech Republic, Culek completed his final year of junior eligibility with the Cape Brenton Screaming Eagles during the 2012-2013 season before making his professional debut with Binghamton on April 12 in a 4-2 victory.  In three games last season, Culek recorded no points while compiling 10 penalty minutes. 

Elmira returns to action this Thursday when they travel to Wheeling to take on the Nailers for a 7:00 p.m. matchup.

Binghamton will be on its home ice this coming Friday and Saturday.  Friday night the B-Sens welcome the Adirondack Phantoms while Saturday they host the Rochester Americans both games are scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start.
