More Layoffs at Lockheed Martin

65 people at Lockheed Martin's plant in Owego were laid off Wednesday, as part of a nationwide job reduction of 587 employees.

Lockheed, which announced it would be trimming its force back in October,  is citing challenges in its business environment, including continued uncertain program funding, delays in contract awards and an extremely competitive market.

The 65 employees last day will be November 20th, leaving approximately 2,600 employees at the Owego plant.
