Ottawa recalls Lawson

BINGHAMTON, N.Y.  The Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League announced today they have recalled goaltender Nathan Lawson on an emergency basis from American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Lawson, 30, has played in seven of 10 games for Binghamton this season posting a 5-1-0 record with a 2.22 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage.  He has appeared in 10 NHL games throughout his career, all with the 2010-2011 New York Islanders, going 1-4-2 with a 4.06 goals-against average and a .893 save percentage. 

Ottawa returns to action tomorrow night when they travel to Columbus to face off against the Blue Jackets at 7:00 p.m. 

Binghamton returns to action Friday for their first of three games in as many nights when they travel to Rochester to faceoff against the Americans at 7:05 p.m.  The following night the B-Sens will be back on home ice when they host the Americans at 7:05 p.m. before hitting the road for a Sunday evening matchup versus division rival the Hershey Bears at 5:00 p.m.
