Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Speaks in Endicott

Saturday Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Endicott hosted a three time nominee of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Kathy Kelly spoke to members of the congregation about moving from charity to real change. Her focus was on the threat of drones being used by the US government. She urged the importance of a peaceful solution and shared stories of people in the middle east that have already been affected by the government's war tactics.

"People aren't as informed as they want to be about the new kinds of 21st century war-making. so much of it relient on robotics. And we've seen and been with people in other countries, for me Gaza and Iraq and Afghanistan, who sustained the grunt of the war. And where you stand determines what you see," said speaker Kathy Kelly.

Her tour will continue to Syracuse, Sunday and then move on to Maine, New Hampshire and end in Washington DC.
