Child Prodigy Takes the Stage at BU

He is just twelve years old, but his talents are those of an artist far older.

Ethan Bortnick appeared live, in concert at Binghamton University Thursday night. He began playing at three years of age, and is now recognized as an accomplished pianist, singer, and composer.

He's become known internationally and has performed on stage with classical artists and big name stars, including Elton John, Josh Groban, Reba McEntire, and Barbra Streisand.

So, where does his talent come from?

"Well it's definitely not from my parents, because I tried teaching my parents how to play Mary Had a Little Lamb, and that didn't work out so well. but my parents say its from god," said Ethan Bortnick, pianist.

What does he think of the big name artists her performs with?  He says they have extraordinary talent, but are just people, like all of us.
