U-E Celebrates 30 Years Exchange Student Program

Union-Endicott High School students got to say ciao Thurdsay to 12 Italian exchange students.

It is the 30th year the school district has participated in an exchange program with a school in Italy. 

Last year, the U-E students visited Italy for three weeks and this year it was the Italian students chance to travel.

"It's very different from Italy because in Italy, there people live in a big house with a lot of their family and here, each family has a house," said Fabeo Forer, exchange student.

"I think they have a lot of preconceptions of how America is that aren't true so trying to prove some of those things not true," said Sam Sylvester, Junior at U-E.

The Italian students will stay will attend school at U-E for a few days and also spend some time in Washington DC and Niagara Falls..
