Sale of Endicott Interconnect Reportedly Approved

It could be a new era in Endicott as several outlets are reporting a federal bankruptcy court judge has approved the sale of Endicott Interconnect to Integrian Holdings.

The hearing ended in Utica just after three o'clock Thursday afternoon. Integrian is owned by Jim Matthews Jr., who has a minority interest in EI, which filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in July.

Endicott Mayor John Bertoni said he plans on reaching out to the new ownership in hopes of establishing a dialogue between the Village and the company. The company employs almost 600 people.
