Carpathian Festival Preparations

You'll be filled with more than halupki at the Carpathian Fest at St. Michael's Parish in Binghamton.

Preparations are underway for the annual festival, which will be held this Sunday.

There are teams of parishioners and friends preparing ethnic delicacies, for the large crowd which is expected.

Fr. James Dutko says it's like a big reunion, both for the church, and for the entire community.

"A lot of hours spent here and a lot of people make a lot of sacrifices to just come and make food and just try to make this a great day for everybody else. It wouldn't work without them," Fr. Jim Dutko, said.

The Carpathian style foods will include not only halupki, but pirohis, and baked goods.
