Details of Cornell Lacrosse suspensions

ITHACA -- It was announced over the weekend that the Cornell Big Red lacrosse team's fall season was cancelled after a hazing incident.  Details on the incident emerged Monday.

According to the school, freshmen members of the team were urged by upperclassmen to consume large amounts of beer in a competition against other team members.  Multiple team members vomited as a result.  All fall competitions have been cancelled as a result.  The team will take part in anti-hazing education programs and the members negatively affected by the hazing will receive support.
