Celebrating a Century

Singing, cake, and some words of wisdom at a special birthday party Wednesday, celebrating more than a century of living.

Three residents of United Methodist Homes in Johnson City celebrated a birthday of at least 100 years. 102-year-old Doris Barron tickled the ivories. She's a life-long music lover who still plays piano and has a ukulele. She also has sage advice on how to reach achieve longevity.

"Go to church, don't get angry, and have a sense of humor," said Barron.

Some interesting facts from 1913 - 100 years ago, the post office begins parcel post deliveries, Cracker Jacks began inserting prizes into boxes, and President Woodrow Wilson said the U.S. will never attack another country.
