Emmy Nominated Actor Among New Inductees of the Binghamton Broadcasting Hall of Fame

The Southern Tier Broadcasters Association inducted 11 new members into it's broadcasting hall of fame, Saturday at the Bundy Museum of History and Art.

The Southern Tier Broadcasters Hall of Fame recognizes local television and radio talent who have become pioneers in Binghamton broadcasting. The museum features some of the best broadcasters who've worked in the area, including newly inducted member Edward Kirk Herrmann. While the broadcasters may have moved on to other areas, members say Binghamton will always be a special place for them.

"You come to Binghamton, maybe you move on, maybe you don't. You become a memory. We have people here who left Binghamton to own radio stations in other areas. Some went out to the west to become comedy writers. A lot of interesting people," said Ray Ross, Vice President of The Broadcasting Hall of Fame.

Herrmann is an emmy-nominated actor, appearing in well known films such as the original Great Gatsby, Reds, and Richie Rich.
