Sherburne-Earlville Middle School Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat

A bomb threat scrawled on the wall of a boys bathroom stall led to the evacuation of the Sherburne-Earlville Middle School early Thursday afternoon.
 
The threat was reported by a student shortly before 1 p.m.  Students from the middle and high school were walked to the elementary school, where they remained until normal dismissal time at 2:40 this afternoon.

Police swept the middle school/high school building, but no bomb was found.

Superintendent Gail Hellert tells us that after school activities were cancelled but school will resume, as normal Friday.
