Binghamton House Gutted By Early Morning Fire

An early morning fire on Thursday gutted a two story home in Binghamton.

Crews arrived at 10 Judson Avenue at about 5:00am.

The blaze, which engulfed an enclosed stairwell, spread into the entire rear of the house.

It was hot enough to melt the siding on the home next door at 15 Lorraine Avenue.

Earlier Thursday, work crews were repairing the damaged siding.

There were no injuries. Only the second floor was occupied by a single tenant who was not home at the time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
