Endicott Summer Concert Series Over

Sunday marked the last of Endicott's Little Italy weekly summer concert series. The Morgan String Band closed the series.

The band played in front of over 50 people who brought lawn chairs and beach towels to enjoy the blue-grass and folk music on the hill of  George W. Johnson Park.

The band played many original hits as well as old time folk classics. Co Chair Palma Longo says the Little Italy concert series is meant to draw crowds to the small town.

"I think its brought people from all over the North Side," she said. "One of the objects of Little Italy, was to make people be comfortable here. To come to our parks and to see what we have to offer."

It was the first time the Morgan String Band performed together in six years. The band will also host a concert at En-Joie later this month for Zooneyfest.
