Man Arrested After Gun Shots Incident in Binghamton

Binghamton police arrested a man Saturday who they believe is connected to a gun shot incident.

Police say that on Friday they responded to a report of several gun shots being fired shortly before 11pm in Binghamton.

Officers found a 12 gauge shot gun and shells on Morgan St. along with 9  mm shell casings on Chenango street.

Twenty nine year old Roger Griffin was arrested in Binghamton and was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree. Police say Griffin gave a fake name upon arrest and is currently a New York State Parolee under supervision in the Bronx. He is now in city lock up awaiting his arraignment.

Police believe other people were involved and are asking anyone with any information to call the Binghamton Police Detective Bureau
