BU Women's Soccer welcomes in fresh faces

VESTAL -- Bearcats Women's Soccer Head Coach Sarah McClellan has led a successful program in her first five years, with three conference semifinals appearances and a championship match nod in 2009.

While the lady Bearcats did make the America East Tournament last year, this year's squad has a much different look. Ten freshman are coming in, but this team is confident it can still make some noise.

Senior Goalkeeper Carrie Martin says of her new teammates, "Even though they are young, they're very willing to learn. They're very excited to learn. That learning curve they have, I think that's going to take us very far."

"Not be afraid to make mistakes, while we continue to progress. It'll take a little while into the season before we are really going to be in our stride. Ultimately, come conference time, we want to be playing at the level that we think we can play at," adds McClellan.

The Bearcats are ranked 7th in the America East Preseason poll.
