Cleanup Begins After Asbestos Is Found in Elementary School

Cleanup began Saturday at Coolidge Elementary School in Binghamton.

The school was shutdown earlier this month after asbestos was found in a crawl space in the basement.
That led to the cancellation of summer school and summer fun programs at Calvin Coolidge.

Arrangements are being made for students of the elementary school to relocate temporarily when the school year begins. School officials say they hope to have students back in the building by December.
