Practice day at En-Joie is extra important for Fuzzy Zoeller
8/13/2013 (Updated 7:18:41 PM)ENDICOTT -- Tuesday was the first chance competitors in this weekend's Dick's Sporting Goods Open had to play at En-Joie.
About half of the field chose to participate in the practice rounds, and many of them spent time walking the course with their caddies and learning the play of the course. Others also spent time working on their long game at the driving range.
Golfers practiced chip shots and putting too. For a certain member of the field-- Fuzzy Zoeller-- the putting practice was the most important.
"Up in Minnesota, my putter found the lake on the 18th hole. I was in search of a putter, so that's what I did most of the day, was looking for that new magic wand if there is such a thing," Zoeller said.
While the golfer has not yet found that perfect putter, he has narrowed the field down to two.
