Binghamton erased the deficit and took the lead in the third against Erie starter Ramon Garcia. With Danny Muno breaking from first base, Vaughn launched a payoff pitch over the left field wall. Ramon Cabrera reached with two outs on an infield single to short and Cohoon hit Tyler Collins and walked James McCann to load the bases. The southpaw pitched himself out of trouble, inducing Wade Gaynor to bounce back to the mound to end the inning.
