Mase Madness bigger and better than last year

JOHNSON CITY -- One family's tragedy becomes a beacon of hope in memory of a six month old boy who passed away.  Kate and Ron McKan lost their son Mason last January to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.  Through the heartbreak, They knew they needed to do something in his memory to help other families deal with tragedy.

The second Annual Mase Madness Basketball Tournament brings together dozens of teams to compete and raise money for families in need.  In addition to the basketball, hundreds of items were up for raffle and in the silent auction.  The McKan's are amazed that this year's event is even bigger than last year's.

All proceeds raised from the tournament go towards the Mason P. McKan Benevolence Fund.

Tournament play continues all day Sunday.
