Ryan pleased with "Best scrimmage"

CORTLAND -- The Annual Green and White Scrimmage at Jets Camp was, according to Head Coach Rex Ryan, "I think that might be the best scrimmage we've had so far."

As has been the case with Jets camp the last few years, all eyes were on the Quarterbacks.  While Geno Smith was under center for the first series, that was expected.  Smith and Mark Sanchez alternate playing with the first line every other day.  Today's scrimmage happened to fall on Smith's day.

The biggest excitement came from third string QB Greg McElroy as he connected on two touchdown passes, one at 48 yards another at 70.  Sanchez ended the scrimmage with a 57 yard TD strike to Stephen Hill.  Geno Smith was the only QB not to find the end zone, the offense managed only one field goal on his drives.

Sanchez finished the night going 6-11 with 93 yards, 1 TD, 1 sack, and 1 INT.  Smith was 9-16 with 77 yards.
