Names Released in Fatal Helicopter Crash

The names of the five victims have been released and the investigation is under way.

The National Transportation and Safety Board is now probing the events leading up to the fatal crash in Pennsylvania of a helicopter that departed from the Tri-Cities Airport in Endicott Saturday night.

The craft went down in a remote area of  Noxen Township, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, after the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton control tower reported losing contact with the helicopter around 10:30 Saturday night.

The crash site was located Sunday afternoon.

"I have not even seen the wreckage...it was highly fragmented...which is most often an indication of a severe accident," said Peter Knudsen of the NTSB.

All five people who were aboard, including a young child perished.
Their identities were released Monday. They are:
Bernard Michael Kelly, 58, of Ellicott City, Maryland and his daughter Leanna Mee Kelly, 27, of Savage, Maryland.
David Ernest Jenny Jr., 30, of Towson, Maryland,
Carl Robert Woodland, 29, of Lovettsville, Virginia and his son, Noah Robert McKain Woodland, 3, of Leesburg, Virginia.
