Play like a Jet! Training Camp 2013

CORTLAND -- Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan had poignant words after his team's first practice on Friday. "There's a mantra that I had, and that's play like a Jet. We have to play like a Jet and it has to mean something. It can't just be words. It's got to mean something."

So just what exactly does it mean to play like a jet? For veterans like Braylon Edwards, it's to lead by example.

Edwards, who has prior experience as a Jet and signed a one-year deal on Thursday says, "You just have to go out there and do it. The more you go out there and do it, you'll naturally notice people following you. You'll be able to say things and when you do, they mean a lot more. When people see you on time, taking notes, working hard in practice, catching a pass and finishing 15 yards, then when you say let's pick it up, you'll notice the intensity level pick up."

FOX 40 will have full coverage of training camp while the Jets are in Cortland.
