Escaped felon arrested in Endicott

ENDICOTT -- An escaped felon, wanted on charges related to a homicide, was nabbed by Endicott and New York State police Tuesday, after a domestic dispute and a search in the area of Main Street Tuesday afternoon.

Police tell Fox 40 that Devon Carty, 22, of Brooklyn was arrested after a domestic dispute at 12 Jefferson Ave.

He was in handcuffs when he broke free and fled on foot.  The K-9 unit was brought in and he was spotted jumping from the roof of a garage on Grant Ave. and was seized on a third floor back porch at 307 Garfield Ave.
Carty was already wanted on a warrant for criminal possession of a weapon, in connection with a homicide that occurred in Johnson City in April of last year.
